  • Dog Found - I found this little Papillon dog last Thursday evening on the corner of 184th and Petrovitsky. I thought that once I put the signs up someone would call immediately. That has not been the case. I put a picture of the dog on Craig’s list and still nothing. I also called in a "found" report to the local dog pound. I took her to the vet today to see if she had a chip in her. No luck. I don't want to keep her but I don't want to take her to the pound either. I believe she is a pure-bred. Anyway, I was wondering if you could send this information to the Lake Desire community to see if she belongs to anyone there. I attached a picture of her if that helps. • Excessive Heat Warning/Please Check on Your Neighbors – According to this article, http://www.kirotv.com/weather/20191266
    /detail.html
, Seattle is expecting the hottest day ever this Wednesday. An excessive heat warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room and stay out of the sun. Please be sure to check up on relatives and neighbors.  If anyone knows of any elderly or disabled neighbors, please check in with them to see if they are OK.  If you are getting this email, and are in need of assistance in this heat wave, please contact Heather Smith, Heather@smith.net or Heather Stafford, heathers@microsoft.com.
  • Trespassing/Vandalism:  Last Friday night someone went onto the back property of my construction site next to the public access and set up a party site.  My garden had the blossoms ripped off, the last plank on the stationary dock had been ripped off, some items were in the lake, lots of items were destroyed and a construction light had been set up so they could party during hours of darkness. Most scary was that they had found some small containers of gasoline that are used for the chainsaw and there were several matches that they had attempted to light but which wouldn't take because they were old.  If a fire is started now it could cause a lot of damage for all of us. If you see or hear anyone down there at night please call the police.  When the people are caught they WILL be prosecuted.  Submitted by Diane Nichols dianenicholsleo@hotmail.com
  • Scooter for Sale - Excellent, like new RALLY 4-WHEEL POWER SCOOTER for sale.  Bought 2 years ago for $2,400 (I have the receipt) and hardly used it.  It was only used indoors to go to the dining room from her apartment.  It has a light, horn and basket, with a hook on back of seat to carry your fold up walker.  It is red with grey seat.  Her estate is asking $850 or best offer.  Submitted by Susan Hill, bellafloragirl@yahoo.com.
